Here’s something to ponder…
There is more than one path to success. Do you insist on taking the optimal path, or would you just be happy with any path?
The optimal path is the impossible journey of perfection, yet this is the option nearly every body tries to take. In the process of taking this path it’s easy to get scared and lose sight of your long term goal in favour of your ever so important short term goals. The optimal path is the safe path, the failure free path, the low risk path. The problem with this path is that you will likely run out of time before ever reaching your goal. To put it a bit more graphically, imagine your being chased by a lion, would you stop to calculate your optimal path of success or would you just run? Time _is_ the lion, start running!

But larger brains also equate to longer times to collate and process the information. Sooner or later you need to get a result, whether it’s right or wrong. In many cases the wrong decision will not cause any major damage.
Forget about perfection. Take the path you think will lead to success. Risk a bit. Fail a bit. Who cares. Just make sure you have a chance of reaching your goal!
You screw up every day whether you like it or not. Get used to it! Forget about the optimal path, it doesn’t exist.
