HandyTraffic

Update: HandyTraffic is pretty dodgy. See this post All of my ad campaigns in the past have been through "Google's Adwords":http://adwords.google.com but after "my ramble yesterday":http://alexpooley.com/articles/2005/12/04/googles-adsense-value I have realised that I may have been a bit stupid and naive. I hadn't really considered any other traffic program, after all Google is God right? I have stumbled across another traffic program offered by a company called "handytraffic.":http://handytraffic.com/ These guys own a stack of expired domain names and offer pay per click advertising on these domains. I'm taste testing their program with their $19.95 plan. Check out their rates: |2,000 Visitors|$19.95|$0.01 per click| |5,000 Visitors|$28.95|$0.006 per click| |10,000 Visitors|$49.95|$0.005 per click| |25,000 Visitors|$99.95|$0.004 per click| Your advertising program is targeted so it's not entirely a scatter gun approach. Though, it's definitely not as targeted as Google's Adwords. But Google costs a minimum of $0.05 versus handytraffic's less than $0.01. This may seem a small difference in absolute numbers, but that's at least 5 times more expensive! My $20 handytraffic campaign would cost me $100 from Google. Still, let's see how the results go... The interesting thing is that I think in theory handytraffic is more likely to generate more click throughs on my site than Google's Adwords because in my mind, someone who clicks through on a "bogus" expired domain is more likely to click through ads on the next site. Either way, $20.00 is a small price to pay for a stab at financial freedom. As an aside, I think there's room for someone to write a review of pay per click advertising companies. After a very quick search on Google, I came up short. If anyone knows of any please add the URL in the comments section of this blog.
