Listen And Learn

Listen here, someone of some sort of significance once said that “_you have two ears and one mouth and if you use them in those proportions you will be better off_”. I was thinking about this today, and if it were true then the optimal number of people to be around at any one time is three people. This way, assuming every person contributes evenly you will do one bit of talking to every two bits of listening which would apparantly be the ideal proportion. But, two people having a conversation could periodically pause and still abide by this rule. Even one person could talk to themselves but would have to pause for twice as long as they spend talking.
I come to apparantly pointless conclusions like this all the time, I’m sure they’re significant to some one, at some time. Anyway, my point (yes I have one.. :) is that ideas are easy and execution is much harder. I’m actually proud to be able to draw these conclusions, the real trouble when you have too many ideas is to _stay focussed_. I’ve been thinking about this for long enough now to know that yet-another-crackpot-genius-world-domination-scheme (YACGWDS) needs to be ignored when I’m working on one of my YACGWDS’s.
For those who have few ideas, I don’t know if it’s much better having _heaps_ of ideas in terms of building a successful business because you expend so much energy trying to ignore them.
Just find something you think has a shot of success and go for it. If it doesn’t work, get up and try again. Whatever you do, do it well.
Ps. If you see me lurking around you with a stop watch, don’t worry, it’s an experiment.
